Katarzyna Haras - Polish mezzo-soprano, who graduated with distinction from the Karol Szymanowski Music Academy in Katowice. After her graduation Haras was mastered by Teresa Berganza, Teresa Zylis- Gara and Ewa Podles. Her operatic debut was as Rosina in "The Barber of Seville"; at Rossini Opera Festival in Amarante (Portugal 2008). For many years Haras has been an ensemble member of Wroclaw Opera House where she performed many important roles: title role of "Carmen", Fenena "Nabucco", Delilah "Samson et Delilah", Nicklausse "Les Contes d’ Hoffmann", Romeo "I Capulettie i Montecchi", Angelina "La Cenerentola", Siébel "Faust", Maddalena "Rigoletto", Olga "Eugene Onegin", Donna Elvira "Don Giovanni" and many others. On 2011 she made debut in Germany with her Carmen at the Opera Festival in Xanten. Katarzyna regularly performs in Poland (Wroclaw Opera; Silesian Opera - Orfeo "Orfeo ed Euridice", Dorabella "Cosi Fan Tutte; Krakow opera - Rosina "Barber of Seville") and in Czech (Sleske Divadlo Opava - Eboli "Don Carlo"). She also got profound experience with orchestra repertoire (oratorios, missas, requiems, symphonies, passions).
