Galina Benevich engagements in the 2022/23 season include title role in Lucia di Lammermoor for the Landestheater Coburg, Gilda in Rigoletto with Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach and repeating of the Fiordiligi role with Theater Kiel in Mozart's "Così fan tutte". She also appeared with Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie for the New Year concert series. Upcoming: Musetta (Puccini "La Boheme") - Teatro Comunale Bolzano (November 2023), Teatro Sociale Trento (February 2024), New Year's concert series with Bergische Symphoniker. Gala concert with Jenaer Philharmonie (May 2024). Her previous highlights have included - debut with Landestheater Coburg as Fiordiligi (season 2021/2022) and alsodebut with the title role in Handel's "Alcina" and as Anne Trulove in Stravinsky's The Rake’s Progress. Season 2021/2022 also marked for Galina with her house debuts as Queen of the Night in Switzerland at Theater Basel and in France at Opéra de Rouen Normandie. She has also returned to Fiordiligi with Thüringer Schlossfestspiele Sondershausen (Theater Nordhausen) in July 2022. Benevich has made her UK debut as the Queen of the Night at the Glyndebourne festival(2019). She has also performed the Queen of the Night at Theater Bremen (2019/2020). The same season she debuted at the Bavarian State Opera Munich and at the State Opera Hamburg singing Clorinda in "La Cenerentola". In season 2020/2021 she made her debut as Fiorilla in Rossini's "Il Turco in Italia" with summer festival in the UK. Seasons 2017 - 2019 Galina was an ensemble member of Wroclaw Opera in Poland, where she performed such roles as Olympia (Offenbach "The Tales of Hoffmann"), Giulietta (Bellini "I Capuleti e i Montecchi"), Musetta (Puccini "La Boheme"), Cunegonde and others. Galina was born in 1991 in an opera singers’ family in Russia and in 2014 emigrated to Israel. From 2021 Galina is living in Germany. She is a graduate from the Young Artists Program of Israeli Opera. Benevich is a bursary recipient of America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF). She is a winner of several international competitions including International Georg Ots Music Festival and Competition in Saint Petersburg and Mario Lanza competition in Italy. Galina studied with Anna Skibinsky in Israel and participated in Masterclasses with Renata Scotto, Mariella Devia, Daniel Ettinger, Giulio Zappa and Stefania Bonfadelli.
