Born in Padua, she is a graduate of the Conservatorio S. Cecilia in Rome, winner of the first prize in the 2018 Simone Alaimo Competition. Winner of the Help Musicians Sybil Tutton Opera Award 2021, Arlene is an Italian mezzosoprano with Middle-eastern discendent, a recent 20/21 Young Artist and now a 21/22 Associate Artist at the National Opera Studio (NOS) in London, where she had the chance to study with coaches by the likes of Dame Sarah Connolly, Susan Bullock, Marie McLaughlin, Della Jones and Andrew Greenan supported by Lorna Parker and Chris Bown. Arlene also appeared as La Speranza and Una Ninfa Orfeo by Monteverdi at Palazzo Te in Mantua. She has sung in the ensemble of the Cantoria Campitelli in Santa Maria in Campitelli and Radix Harmonica in Rome. Arlene has performed in recitals and participated in masterclasses at Vicenza in Lirica, Nova Symphonia Patavina and National Opera Studio with artists by the likes of Dame Sarah Connolly, Barbara Frittoli, Monica Bacelli, Fiorenza Cedolins, Francesca Patanè, Danilo Rigosa, Elizabeth Norberg-Schulz, Cristina Melis.
